Free Credit Repair or Paid

For those of you with bad credit, your best bet is you repair your credit by yourself for free. The simple basics of credit repair don’t take that much time to learn, but you do want to make sure you understand the concept of credit repair before you jump into anything. If you are not sure what you’re doing, you could end up hurting your credit even more.

There are some excellent websites online that explain the whole process and will teach you how to repair your credit for free. Technically speaking it’s not exactly free, but it’s pretty close. You will have to pay for a few stamps, some paper, a pen, maybe a phone and some of your time. You may also wish to purchase a credit repair book. I will suggest an incredible book at the end of this article.

If you really look at how much money you could save over the years by having good credit, the costs of the above mentioned items are very miniscule. Having good credit can literally save you hundreds of thousands of dollars and lots of headaches. Nowadays your credit scores are more important than ever. Employers and insurance companies even pull credit scores now. Bad credit could cost you a job. Your credit scores can have a profound effect on the amount you have to pay not only for auto insurance, but for homeowners insurance also…and perhaps on health and life insurance in the near future.

Don’t let credit repair intimidate you. It’s not that difficult and it’s much easier than going through life with bad credit. It will only take you an evening or two to fully understand the basics. If you are uncomfortable fixing your credit by yourself, you can hire a professional credit repair firm, but learning how to do it yourself is an invaluable learning experience. The more you know about the credit game, the better your chances are of winning it.
